- [Sports Without Borders](https://wellchildinternational.org/Program/sports-without-borders/) - Our goal is to use sports as a vehicle for teamwork, wellness education, and personal growth. Through sports training and mentorship, we provide children in our partner communities the opportunity to hone their athletic skills, while giving athletic enthusiasts a chance to bond in an unfamiliar setting, open their hearts and minds to a new culture, and gain global perspective.
- [Education and Pre Ed](https://wellchildinternational.org/Program/education-and-pre-ed/) - WCI’s education, community service, and specialty teams participate in an intensive co-teaching experience that supports a community school’s existing ESL Program. Such bilingual programs are typically designed to help youth prepare for the workforce and grow as global citizens. Volunteers receive co-teaching training and are then placed in an actual classroom to serve & learn under a mentor teacher.
- [Veterinary & Pre-Vet](https://wellchildinternational.org/Program/veterinary-pre-vet/) - Veterinarians, vet (and pre-vet) students and animal lovers provide preventive care and acute issue treatment to animals in need in underdeveloped communities, working under the careful supervision of a licensed veterinary professional. This is an important service in view of the close living proximity of people and animals as well as zoonotic disease transmission prevention. Activities include house-to-house visits, i.e. we take data on animals care, health and what families understand about animal/ pet healthcare. School visits- teach children and families about an animal’s role in the family and how to take care of them/ disease prevention. Pet care Fair- in community-booths with activities for education about pet care and training. Neighborhood clinics- spay and neuter/ shots and vaccines and euthanasia if necessary.
- [Physical Therapy & PT Students](https://wellchildinternational.org/Program/physical-therapy-pt-students/) - Physical Therapy volunteers observe and learn manual techniques and tests for evaluating patients from communities in need, where high tech equipment such as x-rays and MRI testing is not available. This is accomplished under the guidance and supervision of local physical therapy professionals, who make sure all evaluations and treatment are performed accurately and appropriately. We partner with the Urban Rehabilitation Unit, which is the only unit to serve those that are in need of physical therapy.
- [Pharmacy & Pre-Pharm](https://wellchildinternational.org/Program/pharmacy-pre-pharm/) - Pharmacists and Pharmacy students are an integral part of every team. House visits and school visits to educate and assist in screenings are combined with your management and distribution of meds at the neighborhood clinics. Pharmacy students work under the supervision of a pharmacist.

- [General Medicine & Pre-Med](https://wellchildinternational.org/Program/general-medicine-pre-med/) - Medical professionals (MDs, PAs, EMT/Parameds, etc) as well premed/pre-physician assistants students have the rare opportunity to experience appropriate hands-on medical services in many venues. You will be working with local Ministry of Health and our WCI medical staff. Activities may include full-service neighborhood field clinics, house clinics/visits/screenings (we train), hospital/clinical experiences, community health center clinics, clinical service to women’s shelters, rehabs, orphanages, health education in schools, immunization campaigns, Children’s Health Fiesta!
